Rebekah studied law in order to make the positive change that she wanted to see in the community. She completed her Bachelor of Law at the University of Queensland in 2013. She went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology that same year. Later that year she was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland. She began her career working for two of the largest National Compensation Law firms in Australia. She has obtained outstanding results for clients in difficult and complex compensation claims. She has worked on many catastrophic claims and obtained significant and life-changing outcomes for her clients.
Rebekah’s expertise was recognised when she was named as a Finalist in Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards in the category of Best Regional/Suburban Lawyer of the Year in 2017. The following year she was recognised again for the excellent work she does when she was named as a Finalist in Lawyers Weekly Australian Women In Law Awards in the category of Best Senior Associate.
Rebekah has a strong sense of justice and serving the community. Whenever she has free time she volunteers her services to provide advice to people who cannot afford to see a lawyer on various legal matters. She speaks to various audiences on a range of legal issues and loves to raise awareness of injured people’s rights in the community. She also gives back to the profession by mentoring aspiring lawyers.
When she is not working she enjoys walking her dog, spending time with family and friends and sampling interesting foods from many different countries.
